The goal of this Near Real-Time Lake data is two fold: to provide volunteers and community members with a way to see what is happening on their lake in a near-real time format, and to provide volunteers and the public with a statewide perspective on current water quality conditions for many lakes that are geographically distributed throughout the state. The geographic nature of this data and the interactive ability of the data dashboard allows for an easy way to compare lakes and visualize lake readings throughout the state and over time.
This information is updated regularly by participating certified Lake Stewards of Maine (LSM) lake monitors.
