Lake Stewards of Maine (LSM) and Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) hosted the first online session of the 2024 Aquatic Invasive Plant Manual Control Methods Training  on February 13th. 

This training is best suited for professionals and commercial divers, and is not part of LSM’s IPP Certification program.This webinar offers an overview of manual control methods for aquatic invasive plants present in Maine. Guests will learn about basic biology and identifying characteristics for a variety of known aquatic invasive species (AIS) and their native lookalikes, how to manually remove AIS safely and effectively, and Maine permitting and reporting requirements for manual control methods.This program is part one of a two-part series. Completion of this online training and a SHORT QUIZ  is required for participation in a second, in-person training session.
